Rain has been forecast for the province of Malaga in Spain over the next few days.

After one of the hottest summers in Spain for decades, rain is finally on the way. AEMET, the Spanish meteorological agency, has forecast rain for the evening of Tuesday, November 8. The weather bureau also expects the welcome and much-needed downpours to continue for at least a couple of days.

There is a 50% chance of rain in Malaga City on Wednesday, November 9. However, in Ronda and other inland areas, the likelihood is closer to 100%. The probability of rain is 65% to 100% towards the end of the week, particularly along the coast of Malaga where there may be strong easterly winds.

The largest downpours are anticipated in Marbella and Estepona on Friday, November 11.

While other regions of the nation will experience generally clear skies on Friday, the weather situation is anticipated to be unsettled across the region of Andalucia.

“Temperatures will climb elsewhere while falling in the Mediterranean region and both archipelagos. According to Aemet, winds will be primarily from the south and east, with significant gusts in the Strait of Gibraltar and Alborán Sea.
