The town hall of Benalmádena recently passed a resolution that has allocated funds of €1.2m to help local businesses in the area

The plan, ´Impulsa Benalmádena´ includes subsidies for the hiring of personnel, the creation of new companies, and financial aid for helping in the adaptation of the new law for terraces.

Benalmádena mayor, Víctor Navas, said “although our businessmen are not going to close the year with bad numbers, the increase in the cost of energy is complicating the income statement, and from the City Council, aware of this need, we have wanted to launch this new aid line ”.

The mayor added: ‘ Impulses Benalmádena’ will have four lines of action, aimed at encouraging the productive fabric of the city such as “reforms in commercial premises that meet a certain type, with aid of up to 5,000 euros” or the “adaptation to the new ordinance of terraces and nightstands” with amounts of up to 10,000 euros.

He also explained that the program includes aid for the ” creation of new companies, with incentives of up to 2,000 euros” or the ” creation of permanent employment, with aid of 1,000 euros per employee, aimed at micro-SMEs that generate employment during this year.

By working together with all the administrations, we will be able to establish a network that allows us to sustain our companies in difficult times”, pointed out the mayor, while stressing that “ Benalmádena is one of the municipalities that generate the most employment and offers better prospects of future and projection to our companies, and therefore they cannot be drowned by the increase in energy costs”.
