Marbella Police arrest two British expats involved in alleged investor fraud

Marbella Police have arrested two British nationals on behalf of US prosecutors over an alleged investor fraud conspiracy

According to a statement from the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, James Robinson and David Kennedy, principals of the United Property Group, were arrested in Spain on Wednesday, November 30, for allegedly ´fraudulently soliciting millions of dollars from investors in Bar Works inc. and related entities.´

It is understood that the pair are currently being held in custody in Spain awaiting an extradition order from the US to be processed.

NB. The charges contained in the Indictment below are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

This case is being handled by the Office’s Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Vladislav Vainberg is in charge of the prosecution.
