Thick fog at Malaga airport caused two easyJet flights to be diverted to Sevilla and Granada today, Tuesday, December 20
After a series of aborted landings this morning, it was decided by staff in the control tower to divert the planes to other airports. The flights, arriving from London and Geneva, were rerouted to Granada and Seville instead.
According to reports, a third pilot decided to circle until the dense clouds dissipated. However, after a series of aborted landings, it was decided to divert the two planes to other airports. The flights, arriving from London and Geneva, were rerouted to Granada and Seville instead.
Both aircraft made it back safely to the Costa del Sol after the weather cleared up and the airport is now operating normally.
