Vueling Airlines has announced new routes between Bilbao and Faro in Portugal starting in the summer of 2023
Vueling has started sales today, December 21, for the new routes that will link Bilbao with Faro (Portugal). These new connections will begin to operate on July 2 with two weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays). The new services will be active throughout the summer season.
The launch of this new itinerary is added to the seven announced last November for the Bilbao airport, linking the Biscayan capital with Marrakech, Brussels, Zurich, Prague, Hamburg, Rome Fiumicino, and Florence.
“With the addition of this new route to the capital of the Algarve, we continue to strengthen the connectivity of the Basque Country with a tourist destination with great potential”, highlighted the director of Vueling’s Network Strategy & Long Term Planning, Jordi Pla.
“Likewise, we continue to strengthen our leadership in Bilbao, a base where we recently added a seventh aircraft,” added the director.
With the addition of the new routes, the IAG-owned (International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A) company will reach a total operation of 33 domestic and international routes.
The increase in connections is part of its commitment to the Basque Country, making Bilbao its third-largest base in the number of aircraft based and the second in Spain after Barcelona.
