Singer Blanca Paloma amassed the highest score to be crowned first in the second semi-final of the Benidorm Fest 2023
Blanca Paloma and her song ‘Eaea’ achieved the highest score in the second semi-final of the Benidorm Fest, exceeding the one obtained by Agoney last Tuesday.
The first semifinal of the Benidorm Fest was a bit of a disappointment, setting the bar low. However, the second semifinal offered more entertaining musical acts.
The participants this time around only had to deliver decent live performances with flashy staging to outperform the first semi-final. Unfortunately, many even failed to meet this minimal standard, but there were nevertheless a few exceptions.
Out of nine contestants, only Agoney, Megara, Fusa Nocta, and Alice Wonder made it to the final. The order of performances was: ‘La Lola’ (Famous), ‘Winters on Mars’ (José Otero), ‘Quiero y duelo’ (Karmento), ‘Tracción’ (Rakky Ripper), ‘Eaea’ (Blanca Dove), ‘Ugh!’ (E’femme), ‘Que esclati tot’ (Siderland), ‘Since you are here’ (Alfred García), and ‘Nochentera’ (Vicco).
Blanca Paloma has achieved a total of 167 points, surpassing Agoney, winner of the first semifinal, by 6 points. She has now become the singer with the best chance of winning the Benidorm Fest 2023.
The grand finale of the Benidorm Fest 2023 will be held on Saturday, February 4 in the l’Illa de Benidorm pavilion, with an expected attendance of 3,000 people in the pavilion.
