The Elx Street Food Market festival, which was scheduled to take place this weekend at Paseo de la Estación, has been postponed due to the forecast of heavy rain for this weekend.
It will finally be held next weekend, specifically on the 26th, 27th, and 28th, in the same location with a few changes to the program, which will be confirmed in the coming days. Below is a video of last year’s event.
“The important thing is to ensure that the event takes place under the best conditions and guarantee the safety of everyone, especially considering the forecast of very adverse weather conditions,” said Felip Sànchez, the Councilor for Commerce.
This year it will have the presence of 14 food trucks, restaurant-vehicles, which will offer all attendees national and international food from the United States, Venezuela, Argentina, Thailand or Mexico among many other countries represented by these kitchens with wheels that will offer their dishes at prices that will oscillate between 2 and 10 euros.

The event is free admission and will also have a market with 18 stalls for crafts and jewellery. There will be a dedicated space for illustration art and a children’s stage with magic shows and animation. There will also be concerts: El Diluvi, The Liverpool Band, and El Jose will perform on Friday, May 19; Billy Boom Band, Xeco Rojo, and Javier Ojeda from Danza Invisible on Saturday, May 20; and all these concerts will be accompanied before and after by DJ Adriasola’s performance.
The fair is divided into three interconnected areas with different stages: the first is the market area, which will have 18 market stalls; the second is the food truck area, which focuses on quality food rather than fast food; and the last is the concert area, featuring acts like El Diluvi or Javier Ojeda from Danza Invisible.
In “Elx Street Food Market,” in addition to the food trucks and concerts, there will be storytelling sessions, comedy shows, and face painting for children, as well as activities for adults such as live illustration and design demonstrations or book signings with authors from the literary collective Letra Violeta.
The opening hours of “Elx Street Market” will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, and at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21.
