The rain that has fallen over the Comunitat in recent days is forecast to continue in several regions of Valencia, Alicante, and Castellón
The Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) maintains a yellow warning for Thursday, June 1st, and Friday, June 2nd, in the inland areas of the Comunitat, where rainfall of 20 mm per hour is expected, with the possibility of hail.
The Aemet forecast warns of “showers in the afternoon, locally strong, and with thunderstorms” for both days, extending across the interior northern and southern regions of Valencia, the northern interior of Castellón, and the interior of Alicante, in all cases from 12 noon to midnight on Thursday.
Thursday’s weather forecast:
Showers in the afternoon inland, locally strong, and with thunderstorms.
Partly cloudy intervals. From noon onwards, daytime convective cloudiness and showers, are more likely in the inland areas, locally strong, and with thunderstorms. Minimum temperatures without significant changes; maximum temperatures decreasing in Castellón and Valencia and remaining mostly unchanged in Alicante. East winds are generally light with moderate intervals in the afternoon.
Friday’s weather forecast:
Showers in the afternoon inland, locally strong, and with thunderstorms.
Partly cloudy intervals. From noon onwards, daytime convective cloudiness and showers in the inland areas, locally strong, and with thunderstorms. Temperatures remain without significant changes. East winds are generally light, with moderate northeast intervals on the southern coast during the early hours.
Weather forecast for Valencia, Alicante, and Castellón:
Minimum temperatures will not undergo changes, and maximum temperatures will rise. Thus, Alicante will experience a minimum of 16ºC and a maximum of 25ºC; Castellón, 14ºC and 26ºC; and Valencia, 16ºC and 26ºC.
