A 17-year-old girl died shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, when she fell from the San Jaime building, located on the central Emilio Ortuño Avenue in Benidorm
The teenager, originally from Ciudad Real, was said to be with her family in the city enjoying a few days of vacation.
The National Police have already initiated an investigation to determine the causes of this tragic event, no hypothesis is being ruled out.
The Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU) has moved to the scene of the events a Basic Life Support (SVB) unit and another from the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU), whose professionals could not do more than certify the death of the young woman.
The circumstances of the fall are still unclear, but police believe that the teenager may have fallen accidentally while she was leaning over the balcony.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
