One of the Spanish measures against rising inflation – is free train tickets.
Spaniards get the opportunity to get free monthly tickets for all local trains and medium-distance trains. Longer trips and single tickets are not covered, writes Ritzau.
Spain currently has an annual inflation rate of over 10 percent, and the hope is that the free train rides can help. just as the government hopes that more people will open their eyes to using public transport.
Almost half a million people have already ordered the free monthly tickets.
So far, the offer runs until the end of 2022
