The weather forecast means It’s NOT beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
A spokesman for AEMET (the state meteorological agency), Ruben del Campo, said the presence of another storm out in the Atlantic does not bode well for the Christmas period in Spain.
The weather forecast for this year’s celebrations is that much of the country, including Andalucía, will be drenched with showers—but warm!
The storms and showers created by Storm Efrain have had a devastating effect on Spain. Emergency services have been called to respond to hundreds of incidents. Fallen trees, flooded streets, overflowing rivers, and trapped motorists are responsible for the majority of calls.
Another weather forecaster, Meteored, said that across the Christmas period, warm anomalies will predominate throughout Spain, possibly generated by flows from the southern component, making for stable conditions. Therefore, higher-than-normal temperatures are expected and no waves of cold air are expected.
