The National Police in Malaga have arrested a man who may or may not have been involved in the disappearance of a woman in Marbella
According to police, they arrested the man for his alleged involvement in the disappearance of the woman in Marbella with whom he may have had a sentimental relationship. The arrest was triggered by relatives of the missing woman.
A person unnamed says he recognised his sister from videos posted on social media of the grim discovery of who went missing on December 7, 2022. These are two cases that are being investigated in parallel without any links between them so far.
Investigators have emphasized that for the moment they have not been able to confirm that the missing woman and the one who was found decapitated and without hands on a Marbella beach on Sunday are the same person.
The man was arrested on Monday, January, 9, and is in police custody, although at the moment there is no evidence to link him with any crime. A full search is being carried out at his home by forensic experts.
The decapitated remains of a young woman were discovered floating off Las Cañas beach in Marbella on Sunday, January 8, by a group of friends who were eating lunch at a local restaurant.
It was reported that the body had a large cut across the abdomen and appeared to be a woman of around 30 years of age.
