Nicole Kidman has joined the cast of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Paramount+ series Lioness in Spains Mallorca
Nicole Kidman has reportedly been cast in a lead role alongside Zoe Saldaña and Laysla De Oliveira on Taylor Sheridan’s CIA drama series Lioness.
According to media reports, Lioness is based on a real-life CIA program. Kidman will join an ensemble cast that includes Zoe Saldaña, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, and Jonah Wharton.
Nicole Kidman will be playing the character of Kaitlyn Meade in the upcoming project. Meade is portrayed as a seasoned CIA senior supervisor who has navigated the complex political landscape of the intelligence community. She struggles to balance her responsibilities as a high-ranking female professional, a wife yearning for emotional connection, and a mentor to someone who seems to be following in her footsteps.
The upcoming series, Lioness, follows the story of Cruz Manuelos, a determined and passionate young Marine played by Laysla De Oliveira, who is recruited by the CIA to join their Lioness Engagement Team with the mission to infiltrate and take down a terrorist organization from within.
The show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, with a team of executive producers, including Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Saldaña, Nicole Kidman via her production company Blossom Films, Jill Wagner, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Malone and John Hillcoat.
Kidman, who recently starred in Robert Eggers’ film The Northman, will also appear in an upcoming untitled romantic comedy alongside Joey King and Zac Efron and a drama series titled Expats.
