Andalucía shines at Madrid’s International Tourism Fair

The tourism industry in Spains Andalucía has made an unprecedented commitment to The International Tourism Fair in Madrid

The International Tourism Fair (Fitur) has recovered its place as the world’s top travel and tourism sector event. In the 43rd edition of this event, which will last until the next 22nd, a total of 131 countries are participating and 8,500 exhibitors have put up stands.

Intensifying its commitment to the domestic market is Turismo Costa del Sol. In fact, the organization plans to invest one million euros by 2023 in initiatives to draw tourists from around Spain.

Provincial Council President Francisco Salado made this declaration In his opening session at Fitur. The most ambitious campaign in his career was unveiled by the head of Tourism of the Costa del Sol, who also highlighted the destination’s potential and the technological prowess of Malaga.

The official voice of Google’s GPS navigator, actress and singer Nikki Garcia, as well as the musicians Beatriz Luengo and Yotuel, will all be included in a promotional film for this.

‘If I get lost, you know where to find me’, is the motto of this campaign.

Fitur premiered at the Capitol cinemas, in the center of Madrid, at a gala guided by the journalist Mónica Carrillo. The event started with an amazing light painting show, with which some of the most outstanding enclaves in the province of Malaga were drawn.

In a relaxed atmosphere, numerous representatives from across national and international tourism sectors met yesterday. Sectors such as domestic tourism, gastronomy, golf, culture or the “thriving” technological Málaga were hailed as critical for the economic success of Andalucia.

From Tuesday, January 17, until Sunday, January, 22, Turismo Costa del Sol will carry out more than 40 presentations at its stand. In addition, over fifty professional meetings are scheduled. The president of the Provincial Council said that “Fitur is a great opportunity to advance the keys with which Turismo Costa del Sol wants to continue conquering the national market.”
