Torremolinos town hall has launched a free mobile app so residents can obtain direct information and the latest news

The Torremolinos City Council has launched the free mobile application ‘Torremolinos Takes Off’ which aims to improve the contact and relationship of citizens with it.

The presentation of this new app was attended by the Mayor of Torremolinos, Margarita del Cid, the Councilor for Operational Services, Ramón Alcaide and the Councilor for Citizen Participation, José Manuel Ruiz, the founder of Gecor System, José Nebro, as well as the director of operations of the company, Alberto Guzmán, and the commercial manager, Luis Fernando Zarca.

In her speech, the mayoress explained that the application has “a news banner and automatic updating every time the municipal website is updated so that the residents of Torremolinos can be up to date with everything that the City Council disseminates: news, events, cultural or sports agenda.

Also, tourist information about the municipality, because this application is directed and designed not only for the residents of this city but also for those who visit us so that depending on the option that is marked, hierarchical services and information will be obtained. different”.

The app, which can be downloaded today through IOS or Android, depending on the device, will also have a prominent section for citizen participation activities, public services to facilitate the payment of taxes or access to aid, information on culture, sports or education so that what until now could be done through the municipal website can now also be done in the application.

It also has a section for incident management with a registration section, a folder to control the notices that each user has made, the evolution of the incident and finally the assessment.

“In short, what this new application, Torremolinos Takes Off, offers us is having the city in the palm of our hands. From the information of a more touristic or cultural nature to that related to municipal efforts. A way of direct contact with which we want to bring closer and facilitate the relationship between the City Council and the residents. I encourage all the people of Torremolinos to download the application now.” Del Cid concluded.
